Chek Jawa Intertidal Walk
Suitably low tide levels offer a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of some of the fascinating marine life still thriving in Singapore waters. On this walk, we will be able to go down to the sandbar and take a closer look at some of the creepy-crawlies such as sea cucumbers and sea stars that make their appearance during low tide. Expect to get your feet wet!
Programme: After meeting at the Changi Point Ferry Terminal and a short 15-minute bumboat ride to Pulau Ubin, we will continue to Chek Jawa by bus and go for the intertidal walk. After the walk and the return trip to Ubin jetty, participants can opt to stay back on Pulau Ubin, or take the bumboat back to Changi Point Ferry Terminal.
Additional information will be emailed to you upon registration.
Fee includes boat ride to/fro Pulau Ubin and bus transfer to Chek Jawa.
Recommended minimum age: 6 years
The programme may have to be shortened, delayed or aborted for safety reasons in case of inclement weather. No refund will be given in this case.
For your own safety, only wear covered footwear for the intertidal walk. Strictly no sandals, flip-flops, or plastic bags wrapped around your shoes!
You can rinse off your shoes after the walk.
